Yes its that time again, the annual Craven " day out " to Castle Combe.
Once again we are looking for volunteers to help run the feature stage at lunchtime as well as help on the club stand which will be the envy of all the other clubstands (details to follow shortly ). If you can help in anyway please contact either myself on 07894981855 or Flying spanner on 07976416727. All club members are being given first refusal to marshal before it is offered to other people who help Craven out on events.

I can bring a small TV & DVD, if there's electricity, with my footage of Longcross, Le Mans & Gurston.

What else are we planning/do we want?

I have just bought two tables for the club so not a problem of what to put them on.

We can't show those at Castle Coombe, there will be ladies and children present. He's probably got a couple of good ones on Rallying too.

Finding cheap folding chairs isn't a problem. Finding good ones is. There's some expensive crap out there. I'll bring a couple.

Keep up the good work

Dont worry Lawrie about the chairs I have ordered some £128 for eight folding chairs and in Craven colours too - Burgundy.

My attendence is, of course, dependent on an MOT, again

You'll be pleased to hear that it passed. Mind you, it had only done 49 miles since last year. Allowing for insurance, tax & MOT, thats £10 a mile before petrol. So as Castle Combe is 100 miles there and back, can I submit a bill for £1,000.

No! But if you did Phil would pay it.........

Two more cars added to the list tonight. RB replica Sunbeam as used by Richard on his first few events and also London to Sydney replica Hillman Hunter, both thanks to Gordon Jarvis.

Phil's paid out enough lately so as of today I have decided to declare a complete freeze on any future expenditure. Shocked

You have all had it too good too long, so the Treasurer has now decided that you the members will have to dig deep into your pockets as he has introduced a new Craven Tax, due to the Treasurer only getting one holiday this year!!! Laughing

Well the windscreens back in, and the numbers are off, and the furry hat's still missing but the Met Office says - Saturday, heavy showers in the south, some rain further northwest, otherwise dry. The Weather Channel says sunny. We know Castle Combe. Wellies out chaps

The Met Office now say no rain for Saturday.

Decent odds must be available.

I hadn't realised it clashed with the Goodwood Revival. I don't think it'll affect attendence, as anyone into rallying or pimped up Skoobies wouldn't be allowed in to Goodwood. My other club act as organisers/bouncers

Thank you to everybody that turned up today to help with either showing their cars ,or helping on the stand ( especially Huxley, Lawrie and Bryan ). To all the marshals and radio crews that helped run the feature stage again thank you we could not have done it without you.
Once again Craven showed the way in how to promote your club and show that we are the NUMBER 1 club in the south. Very Happy
